| Kenneth Payne: (bass) A solid groove player driving the rhythm section. Watching him perform, you witness the joy of getting into the music. Born in Atlanta and raised in Stone Mountain, he began playing in local bands in the early 80's as a drummer and guitarist. He started playing bass after filling-in for a friend's gig. The groove and the power of the bass was challenging and felt natural at the same time. He has been playing in various original and cover bands ever since. Kenneth plays a Fender Precision or Kawai bass with Flatwound strings through a Yorkville amp. His influences on bass are James Jamerson, Duck Dunn, John Entwistle, John Paul Jones and Tommy Shannon. His favorite music includes Blues, Rock, Punk, 80's Alternative and Classic Jazz. |
